The Renaissance – Midtown

This new hotel near Penn Station was a nice surprise in a part of the city where you really need to be 34 floors up to escape the craziness of midtown Manhattan.

… and I’m shooting for my book on the Icelandic suburbs. Your body clock goes a bit haywire when the sun doesn’t set, but it is beautiful here by the sea. There is construction everywhere and clearly tourism is having a major effect here – at least in the boom towns around Reykjavik…
